All About Pie

Do you have an easy apple pie recipe using refrigerated pie crust please?

I have stuff to make apple pie, but not an exact recipe. I already have a refrigerated crust. Like the roll out kind, so I'll be using that, just not sure what to do with the apples, or what do put in with them. Thanks for the help!

  1. slice apples dust with flour, add some sugar and cinnamon mix well put some pats of butter on top cover and bake it
  2. Peel, core and slice your apples in small 1/2 in size pieces. I would suggest 5 apples, unless they're really small, then you'll need 6. Put apples in a large bowl, and mix in 1/3 cup of flour, 3/4 cup of granulated sugar, and 1/4 cup of brown sugar. Add 2 tsp of ground cinnamon, and 3/4 tsp of ground nutmeg. (the flour is used to absorb the juices from the apples, so the bottom crust doesn't get all soggy) Not sure if you're having a 2-crust pie or using a crumble topping, but you'll want to bake the pie at 350 for 45 minutes to an hour, depending on how dark you want your crust. Once the apples start bubbling (you will either see or hear them), the pie is done. Cool on a rack.
  3. nope
  4. 1 unbaked (9-inch) pie shell 3 cups peeled apples (Delicious, Winesap or Macintosh) 3/4 cup sugar 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg dash of salt 1 cup heavy cream Preheat oven to 450F. Bake pie shell 8 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350F. Combine apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and cream in a bowl and mix well. Pour the apple mixture into the baked pie shell. Bake for 1 hour.
  5. Use apple pie spice with extra sugar . A cup of sugar per 1 pound of apples. I use 3 tablespoons of the ap spice. Happy Thanksgiving.
  6. if you want to make a pumpkin pie filling blend the following Filling: 1 12 oz can pumpkin 1/2 cup of egg beaters or 2 large eggs 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup flour 1 can or evaporated milk (you can use a can of sweetened milk instead and cut back on the sugar) 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1 1/2 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice ( you can substitute using individual spices Cinamon, Nutmeg, Ginger) 2 teaspoon of crushed dried orange peel (or 1 teaspon of fresh orange zest) ( this is an optional seasoning) To keep the pie crust from being soft an doughy you can prebake it a little before you add the filling. Spray you pie plate with some pam place the crust in the plate and brush (lightly coat ) the crust where the filling goes with some egg, Bake the empty shell for no more than 10 minutes @ 350. (check the pie crust directions for this recommendation) Then add the above filling and bake the entire pie for 50 to 55 minutes at 350. The pie is done when you can stick a knofe into the center and it comes out clean (no liquid pie filling sticking to it) remove from oven let cool for 10 minutes and place in refrigerator to chill. You can punt and buy a can of Apple pie filling and pour the can into the pie shell.
