How long can you keep a homemade apple pie before it goes bad?

I have in-laws coming over this weekend and I'm making an apple pie for my mother-in-law (it's her favorite and she requested it of me). I'm trying to decide if I can make it the night before, so I don't have to rush around trying to clean, cook dinner, AND make an apple pie at the same time.

1. 2-3 days would be the limit.
2. Proud Air Force Wife. of course you can cook it the night before. Then let it cool and refrigerate, the next night just warm it in the oven, serve with a scoop of ice cream and your a genius. For that perfect apple pie, try and use Granny Smith apples, and don't over do the sugar. Chris
