Do you bake the pie crust before you put the pecan pie filling in?
I bought the pie crust at the store. I want to know if i bake the pie crust then the pecan pie filling in? Or do you put it all in and then bake?

- no. you do not bake it because it is store bought. but if u want to make it homemade then yes, you bake the crust Atolll its slightly hardened. it takes about 5 or ten minutes so with the store bought kind just through it all together and put it in the oven
- You put it all in and bake. If you bake the crust before, then bake it again after you put the stuff in, it will end up burning the crust!!! good luck and merry christmas!!
- put foil and beans on it so it will stay flat. Bake it a little then add the filling./ If you throw it all in at once it the crust will become soggy.
- I would never pre bake the crust for 5 mins. for a pecan pie....a pecan pie has to bake to long in the oven and yes the crust would burn.Bake all at the same time and your crust will not be soggy.No reason to pre bake it....
- You do not bake the crust first, you just fill it with the filling and bake.
