What is the best pie recipe you've had?

And can you provide me with the recipe? I'm looking for a great pie to bring to a holiday party. Thanks!

MAGIC MERINGUE PIE 1 pie crust FILLING 1 lb can crush pineapple 3/4 cup sugar 2 tlbsp flour pinch of salt 1 cup sour cream 3 egg yolks 1 tlbsp lemon juice Drain pineapple, reserve1/2 cup syrup. combine sugar,flour,salt in saucepan. Stir in pineapple,syrup,sour cream,egg yolks and lemon juice. Cook over med. heat til mixture boils and thickens. stirring constantly. Cover, cool to lukewarm. Pour into baked pieshell. Top with meringue(below) and bake 12-15 min. til golden brown. MERINGUE Combine 2 tlbsp sugar and 1 tlbsp cornstarch in small pan. Add 1/2 cup water and cook on med. heat til mixture is thick and clear. COOL Beat 3 egg whites with pinch salt and 1/2 tsp. vanilla til soft mounds form. ADD 6 tlbsp sugar gradually beating after each addition. ADD cornstarch mixture and beat til meringue stands in stiff peaks. Sounds like a lot of work, but this pie is really woth it.

Sweet Potato Pie! 2 cups cooked sweet potatoes (or pumpkin, or butternut squash), mashed/pureed 1 cup soymilk 1/2 cup honey (or 3/4 cup brown sugar) 1 Tbsp. molasses 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp nutmeg 1/2 tsp powdered ginger 1/4 tsp powdered cloves 1/4 cup cornstarch 3 Tbsp. oil 1 tsp cinnamon Mix cooked mashed vegetable with soymilk and sugar. Add oil and molasses. Mix the cornstarch with the spices and stir in. Pour into an unbaked (or slightly thawed frozen) pie shell. Bake in a hot oven (425 degrees) for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake 40 to 50 minutes until filling is set in middle. From the New Farm Vegetarian Cookbook
